What is covered by life insurance?

Most life insurance policies will pay out if you die before the policy has ended. They will also pay out if you are diagnosed with no more than 12 months to live – this is known as terminal illness cover in the industry and is different to a critical illness insurance policy.  Certain exclusions apply.
