Experts have advised people to monitor their blood pressure in order to reduce the risk of them having a stroke.
According to the Stroke Association, monitoring blood pressure is "vital" to avoid becoming the victim of a stroke.
Andrea Lane, spokesperson for the Stroke Association, explained: "High blood pressure is the single biggest risk factor for stroke so monitoring your blood pressure and making sure that your blood pressure is under control and low is absolutely vital."
Ms Lane advised that people can easily get their blood pressure checked out by a doctor and even some pharmacists, supermarkets, and gyms have facilities for monitoring it.
Those without life insurance policies may want to know what other ways they can control their blood pressure.
Eating a healthy diet, taking exercise, drinking alcohol in moderation and not smoking all go towards helping reduce blood pressure, Ms Lane has advised.
UK life insurance policy holders may be interested to know that an estimated 150,000 people have a stroke in the UK each year and more than 67,000 die annually as a result of a stroke.
