Scottish Equitable is owned by Dutch insurance giant AEGON and has it’s head office in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Scottish Equitable was founded in 1831 and is well known for it’s expertise in the areas of Pensions, Investment Management and Protection. Scottish Equitable converted to a proprietary company in 1993 when it became part of the AEGON group.
AEGON is now the fourth largest insurer when measured in terms of earnings, and has 33 branches throughout the UK.
